Eddie is a male and 2 years old, Lucy is female and 8 months old!Indra Wignallhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01630451043660772571noreply@blogger.comBlogger11125tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7818413820295837819.post-25610428274050211732009-03-18T15:42:00.000-07:002009-03-18T15:48:30.049-07:00Eddie looks like his tail is getting better, we thought he may have broken it, but now it's looking like it may have just been bruised, he is holding up again and hasn't been bothered at all by company, in fact they have both been quite snuggley and cuddley over the last week or so, I'm thinking it may have something to do with them moulting though, it's everywhere!!! My duvet looks like it's mohair! It's a good job we love them, or they may get Immaced :p hee hee!Indra Wignallhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01630451043660772571noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7818413820295837819.post-50613247427455396472009-03-12T15:45:00.001-07:002009-03-12T15:47:57.874-07:00I'm sad to report the death of another packet of crisps. The body was discovered this morning, in the kitchen, it was too late for first aid. Punishment was dealt out by Justice Box this evening, the administration of flea repellent.Indra Wignallhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01630451043660772571noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7818413820295837819.post-67431847869347253852009-03-10T06:52:00.000-07:002009-03-10T07:00:16.895-07:00Bin DayBin Day is not a popular day! First of all the bin is taken from the yard and placed in the backalleyway, this means that extra hard jumping is needed to reach the top of the wall. (Lucy doesn't bother) If this wasn't enough trauma and stress for a poor little pussycat, the binmen come and clang and bang and make lots of scary noises, bin day is a day of bed!

Today Lucy was sat waiting for Eddie to come back in, she does this a lot and it's rather cute. Most often she will wait either in the back bedroom window or the dining room window, but today she sat in the yard just staring up at the two brick gap in the wall, waiting for Eddie to appear. She waited, she waited some more. I was staring to wonder where she was at this point so I went downstairs to see where she was, she is normally on my bed, lying in such a way that I have to lie at a daft angle. She was there still waiting in the yard for Eddie, but Eddie had come in a while ago and was asleep on the bed, poor little Lucy! This has happened before, and of course will again, and every time she will have that same confused look on her face when I carry her upstairs and show her a sleeping Eddie on the bed!

PS: My friend found her cat hiding in a pile of garden junk and wood, very dirty but fine!Indra Wignallhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01630451043660772571noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7818413820295837819.post-6556937988090801492009-03-09T10:36:00.000-07:002009-03-09T10:48:17.341-07:00Lucy has been having a day of stupidity today, even though the window has been open almost all day (we have no cat flap) she has decided to just run about the house and attack everything in sight, she is now however just sitting on the arm of the sofa, like butter wouldn't melt! hmph!

To help try and ignore these goings-on I have been making a cat out of a towel! There will be photos as and when I finish it :D

I'm worrying about my friend's cat though, she went missing this morning and hasn't been spotted yet, pretty much a house cat too! Hope she turns up, cats do have a habit of buggering off for a few days then coming back demanding biscuits and snuggles :pIndra Wignallhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01630451043660772571noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7818413820295837819.post-60755459545161347702009-03-08T08:02:00.000-07:002009-03-08T08:09:22.401-07:00yeah yeah yeah...I know, I know I haven't written in here in aaaages, reason being I totally forgot about the whole blog thing! I fail at blogging!
Anyway, what have the two little bundles of wonder been up to? Loads! Lucy has become a great hunter since I last posted here, she has managed to hunt out several bags of crisps from the kitchen and even sourced a spare rib and a chicken bone from outside, we don't know where from and to be honest, it's probably best not to know!
Eddie on the other hand has a new figurehead of hate, Posh Cat! Post Cat comes and sits in our back yard at night, Eddie doesn't like this and much attacking of windows, hissing and skreetching goes on. We call him Posh Cat as he looks to be an Ocecat or some other pedigree breed.
Last night however we did spot another cat in the yard, this one was a small black cat, all fluffy and possibly female, we have seen Eddie chasing her before, so we think he may actually like this one, she is adorable too and hus is more than welcome to move in :DIndra Wignallhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01630451043660772571noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7818413820295837819.post-28189318680942082212008-12-06T06:03:00.000-08:002008-12-06T06:16:06.464-08:00Useless!Not posted in ages, I took the tab off my toolbar thinking I would still remember to blog, but no, out of sight out of mind I guess, anyway, what's the news?
Well, it seems that Eddie isn't all that happy with any other cats on his turf, there have been staring matches with his nemesis 'the hitler cat', and rooftop meowing scenes with 'ginger cat'. Ginger cat seems to quite like Lucy though, a couple of times she has come back to the house in rather a good mood, so its looking like romance is in the air! Such a shame she has been 'done', I would love to have little fluffy kittens running about, but then again it would be heartbreaking to give them away :(
In toy news, it seems that even though both cats have beds full of toys, they much prefer to play with a kinder egg plastic shell with biscuits in, a plastic drinking straw and Lucy has developed a love for my high heel foot cushions, to the point where I can't leave them in the shoes, I have to hide them from her or they go missing and I have to hunt all over the house!
I think the christmas tree maybe going up this weekend, that should be fun, I can see Lucy trying to climb it, not to mention the excitement all that tinsle will bring! At least it will be a source of many a LOLcat photo!Indra Wignallhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01630451043660772571noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7818413820295837819.post-2018554020656550492008-11-20T08:04:00.000-08:002008-11-20T08:07:52.176-08:00Up on the roooooooof...Yesterday Lucy had an adventure onto the back door porch roof, it was a big jump up there from the window sil, espically for such a little cat, but she made it! Then she wandered round in circles a few times before looking into the window at myself and my Mum sitting at the table, she had 'help me' written on her face, she was stuck!
So I had to drag a chair to the window, stand with one foot on there, one on the window sil, hanging out of the window, in my pj's and slippers and then I scooped her down, much to the amusement of both my Mum and Eddie, who was watching too.Indra Wignallhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01630451043660772571noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7818413820295837819.post-35961497077710645472008-11-16T14:26:00.000-08:002008-11-16T14:31:58.694-08:00Day of Adventures! The cats have been out properly today for the first time, they have been out in the yard before, but today we let them out into the backs to wander free. We would have let them do this a couple of weeks ago but we didn't know how they would be with the fireworks, so we kept them in until they had finished.
Lucy doesn't seem to be very interested in anything that lies beyond the walls of the yard, but Eddie did have a wander, a few houses down, either way and had a chat to the cat we call Hitler, due to his markings looking like a small tache and side parted hair.
I'm thinking that neither of the cats will be the ones that wander very far or go missing for days, I hope not anyway, the house is so empty when they aren't here, I miss their silly antics! Today Stu had to do the washing up earlier than he wanted to as Lucy wouldn't stop licking the bowl and saucepan he had made his chicken soup in! I'm starting to think that she is part labrador, as she seems to like to eat anything at all, she was trying to munch our chinese takeaway a few nights ago, and quite likes the crumbs of anything she can get hold of! Silly cat!Indra Wignallhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01630451043660772571noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7818413820295837819.post-8274700530286824302008-11-13T09:45:00.000-08:002008-11-13T09:55:31.473-08:00Birthday!Today was my birthday and I think Lucy has enjoyed it even more than I have! She has been introduced to bubbles for the first time and didn't quite know what to make of them as she couldn't attack them, or eat them! She was so sweet watching them fall and then looking confused, head on one side, when they popped. Eddie seemed to enjoy watching them, but doesn't get that excited about them, he's old and sophisticated at the grand age of two!

Lucy also had lots of fun with the wrapping paper, attacking it and climbing about in the pile. Stu says she was 'helping' him to wrap the presents up too, so I'm quite impressed they didn't get ripped open in the intervening days in the study.Indra Wignallhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01630451043660772571noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7818413820295837819.post-58103744161225264962008-11-10T05:27:00.000-08:002008-11-10T05:36:36.836-08:00Recycled playthingsToday I decided to create a small cat house for 'the kids' out of a box, its a beautiful creation I have to say (ha ha ha ha, if you could just see it!) To encourage the little balls of fluffy joy I have sprayed the inside of the box with the catnip spray, however currently both cats are asleep on our bed! To be honest I say our bed, when really it's only ours between the hours of 11pm-8am, any other time it is the cats domain and I am forced to sleep at daft angles across the bed so as not to disturb them! *sigh*

In other recycled toys news, the other week I put a couple of rice grains into a kinder egg plastic toy shell thingi, and it still remains one of Lucy's favorite toys! The house is full of damn cat toys and what does she like to play with, the thing I made randomly for free! Just like kids, you buy them a wonderfully expensive exciting gift and what do they do? Play with the box of course! Ahhh well in the days of skintness that are upon us at the moment, I'm quite happy the cats are amused by simple things!Indra Wignallhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01630451043660772571noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7818413820295837819.post-5283107150289058912008-11-07T10:14:00.000-08:002008-11-13T10:00:33.650-08:00Oh Hai!Today I have been in bed all day as my back has been sore, but of course I haven't been alone! I came up with an invention, so I drew it out on some paper which wasn't all that easy thanks to the 'help' that came in the form of a small fluffy body. Lucy decided that it would be fun to eat the end of the pencil I was drawing with, so I had to give up said pencil and start to use another! I'm being bullied by cats!
Indra Wignallhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01630451043660772571noreply@blogger.com0
